I can't sign in to minecraft on the website, I am signed in on the launcher. (Macos)

Hello! Thanks for replying and letting me know that the reason you're not able to log in to Minecraft.net is due to you forgot the account details.

What I could suggest, and in case you didn't try, is to attempt to recover the account by submitting the recovery form but using instead a previously created Skype username (which is not the same as our gamertag) or previously linked phone number.

If you recall the email address, you can use that as well.

Note: If you enabled 2-step verification in the past, please be aware that the recovery form will not work.

The issue is I don't have the credentials, I also am locked out of signing in to the account under the email I believe it is linked to.

— Did you try accessing the affected website on a different device?

— Did you try accessing the affected website in a new incognito window?

— Did you try connecting your device to a different Wi-Fi network, like a mobile hotspot, before trying again?

— Did you try accessing the affected website by using a different web browser?

— Did you try accessing the affected website after turning off any VPN or similar service you may have enabled on your device?

If your kid used to play Minecraft Java on macOS previously, it would be necessary to download the executable of the game directly through the Minecraft website, and not the Launcher on the Microsoft Store. Download the Windows 10/11 Launcher here and sign in with the correct account afterwards: https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download
