I can't sign in to Live because I can't do the system update

when I logged in today, this message popped up "A system update is required to sign in to Xbox Live, but the update is currently unavailable. If the peoblem persists, visit
www.xbox.com/support. " This also happened last week. I've tried resetting it, deleting storage, LB RB X, and testing the internet connection.

Batman Arkham city Update

So I've recently bought the Batman Arkham city, and after almost a week of trying to figure out how to get windows live to pop up the first time I played the game, it has to do updates or I can't sign in. I do the update, then it says that I can't use the
accounts to log in with because the game needs to restart from the update it just did.

Now here's the thing, I can't shut the game down because the Windows live client says that I won't be able to sign in at all if I shut it down to do the update.

So can anyone help me sort this *** out please??

Can't connect to Xbox Live.

I keep getting this warning. "A system update is required to sign in to Xbox Live, but the update is currently unavailable. " Now I have dishnet I know I can't play online with it, but I do know I can get my system update with it. What is the problem?

You could try downloading the latest update and installing it via USB/Disc media. Instructions can be found on support.xbox.com.

Did you sign up for the Xbox 360 Dashboard Preview? If no, when was the last time your console was online?

Can you also check the following: Go to the Settings hub, then to the system tile in the upper left. Then go to Console settings and at the bottom is an option for System Info.

At the info Screen should be a line that reads: "D: 2.0.XXXXX.Y" where XXXXX is the Version of your dashboard. What version number reads your current dashboard?

It didn't work man and I don't have a USB drive for the system update and of course I can't sign into Xbox live to do it

I feel the same way.

I couldn't play last night because it was taking forever to download a 13gb update.

Then I can't even play the game today because my console won't sign into xbox live because of their congestion overload issues.

It infuriates me to see no issues listed on the system status page when I haven't been able to log in or play a game all damn day. There are system status issues when I can't even sign in!!!!

At least let me play the campaign of MY GAME ON MY CONSOLE. Why do I have to be signed in online to play?!!!

Hyrule, I can't do that because I need to sign in to Xbox Live in order to get to the settings, and I can't get on Xbox Live because the parental lock won't let me.

It is a system update. Therefore I am not allowed to download my profile because I can't connect to Xbox Live without this update. Clearing the system cache does nothing.

When ever i try to sign it, it tells me to update which i have done multiple times it then tells me i can't connect to xbox live gold so i tried a free code and it says i can't use it because i'm already connected to xbox live gold so what the hell do i
do?
