I cant sign in, Go to settings, connect to xbox live or open an application!

The home screen has all the top bars at the top and what not. So I'm assuming my wifi connection is good. However, I am not able to go to my sign in section and sign in. I am able to click on "sign in" then it loads for about 5 minutes and then it
goes to the home screen. I then tried going to the settings but then a pop up shows and advises me to go to
xbox.com/errorhelp and use the code 0x81c201c3. Im hoping someone from xbox sorts this, iam very frustrated and tired of xbox one!

Can't connect to xbox live anymore

It could be a problem with your network firewall, when you turn off windows firewall you actually open up your computer to the whole internet, meaning anyone or anything could hack into your laptop, and get onto the network. NEVER turn of your firewalls.
As for your firewall settings, you need to go to your router settings, and try setting your settings to allow the Xbox to connect.

SOMEthing is wrong, i cant play games or download anything!!!

sounds like your internet connection to xbox live.

first switch off yout home internet they pull all the plugs and cables out then put them all back in wait around 50 seconds

then switch your internet back on then attach all your xbox cables then dont sign into live right away instead go to system settings and network settings and click reset to factory default then go to storage and clear system cache 2 times.

then go to test xbox live connection and you should then hopefully be fine then try to sign in as normal.

if that doesnt work

it may be your nat has changed to a moderate or strict setting which will severely impact online gaming and matchmaking your nat setting should be set to open for online gaming.

if your nat type is open and you still cannot connect to any online games then go here now and follow these steps

if that doesnt work speak live 1to1 with an xbox live team member and they will do their best to help you resolve your issue

have you tried powering off the console & then unplugging the power supply from the wall and the console until the light on the power supply goes off? a reset like that will fix many ills, let me know how it goes

 

unfortunately this reset did not succeed in fixing my Xbox one, thank you for the tip though

 

Hello there!

Assuming this is for an Xbox One, one of my best recommendation is to do a factory reset (keep games and apps) from your settings if you can access it.

If it doesn't work, Factory Reset everything and your console would feel good as new. Please be reminded though that this would remove all the files saved on the console.

I would try redownloading your profile before doing a full factory reset, but doing the reset that keeps your games & apps is a good option at this point as well.

 

Sorry, forgot you can't get to settings. You will need to use the Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool instead to reset things:

when selecting the update file, since you can't check in the setting to see exactly which version you have, a good rule of thumb is that if your console has taken updates before, start with OSUDT2 or the Factory Reset file.

 

Many times simply logging out of your profile and logging back in will resolve this issue.

 

Another way to do a factory reset, when you can't get to the settings, is to hold the sync and eject buttons, then tap the power sensor to bring up a troubleshooting menu. FYI
