I can't set up my xbox one console on the app it keeps saying no device found

Thank you for replying. I have tried to set up streaming from the console to my laptop, but I cannot get it to work. I have the app downloaded on my laptop, but I can't connect my console to my laptop. When ever I try to set up a stream, I get a message saying that I need to make sure both devices are on the same network. I know both devices are on the same WiFi network, so I am at a loss there.

For remote install, first check to make sure your Xbox One shows up in your account devices here. If not, there is an option to "Add device >" at the top.

I found a solution.

Go to settings, all settings, system, console info then reset console. Do "Reset and keep my games & apps"

Xbox One Smartglass settings are set to (From and Smartglass device)

Also I changed the name and deleted the app, that also didn't work. I'm manually entering the IP address of the console which changes everytime I hard reset my console. My phone still doesn't see an xbox on the network, or so it says

So I went to another house with a different wireless network and Xbox One and my laptop immediately found and connected to it. I guess that must mean it is either my brand new Xbox One S or more likely my network. Still can't figure it out though.

Check in your console settings that the console allows streaming. Also check in your router settings, if wireless devices are allowed to talk to each other. If necessary, check your router's user manual, if there are other security settings in the router
that prevents devices connecting to each other.
