    I can't set my xbox one as my home xbox


    I went to a friends house and I wanted to play some games at his house so i downloaded them on my profile on his xbox.

    When I got home hours later I checked my home xbox section and It won't let me cause my friend set my account on his xbox as his home xbox without my permission.

    Is there a way to reset his xbox and fix the problem with me not being able to set my xbox as home xbox.

    His gamer tag is BLIGHT THE HEDG

    I can't set my brothers xbox as my home xbox?

    When i try to set my brothers xbox as my home xbox it say that i can only change it 3 times per year but this is the first time i change it so?

    MY HOME XBOX IS MY FRIENDS AND CAN'T PLAY OFFLINE

    So I went to my friends and we signed in as me on his xbox then set it as my home Xbox to play nba2k16 when I got home I set it back as my home xbox then the same thing happened but I couldnt set it as my home Xbox as there is a year limit so I was wondering
    if my Xbox could be set as my home Xbox as my wifi is down and I'm currently using my phone data just to type this also because my wifi is down I can't play any of my digital games which is most of them because my friends Xbox is my home one

    im in the same boat but i seem to have a hard time choosing between the ps4 and xbox one i am on my forth xbox now and cant make it my home console

    You can only change your home console settings every 3 months. So if you accidentally or unwanted set it to a wrong console you need to call the support to get another go for a new change within this three months.

    Try restarting your Xbox by holding the power button on your Xbox for 10 seconds. See if that works. Hopefully it does. If it doesnt, if I was you I would try it later because you dont want the number of switches left to go down.

    You can also get help with your home Xbox in Xbox Assist. Press the
    Xbox button to open the guide, select
    System > Xbox Assist, choose My Xbox Assist >
    Search, and then enter My Home Xbox.

    Even if someone has set their console as home with your account, you should be able to set your own Xbox as home, as console homes can be switched 5 times a year. Do you get any error when you try to. Because you have changed your account password, and
    if you set your console as home, other person can not do that again as he can't login.
