Thank you for responding! If you haven't already done so, go ahead and try performing a Soft console Factory
reset on your console by doing the following:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select All Settings.
4. Select System.
5. Select Console info & updates.
6. Select Reset console. [Keep my Games and Apps]
   

Make sure you have both your email and password on hand as you will be asked to sign back in. There is an option to delete everything and to save your games and apps; choose the latter.

Definitely try the other suggestions here, as that's what I would do as well. If it's still not working, I just wanted to add that you might just need to wait a little bit and try again. I've experienced a lot of things like this over the past year where
nothing I tried worked, but after leaving it for a couple of hours to do some running around, make dinner, etc, and then coming back to it and trying it again, I found that it just worked. I know it's not a real, technical answer, but sometimes just leaving
it for a bit and coming back to it will actually work. I've had plenty of instances where I did that, and for no real explanation because I hadn't tried anything like a hard reset or power cycle or reinstalling anything etc, it just went 'poof' and worked
on its own lol. If nothing else is working, take a little break from it and try it again tonight. I'd say about 50% of the time, it actually just works on its own when you come back to it. I can't explain it, but it works sometimes for me. Good luck!

Go ahead and perform a
hard reset and power cycle of your Xbox console. Hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until

it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 5 minutes. Then re-connect and turn on the Xbox.

Try to set your console as the home Xbox again and let us know if that helped!

Try restarting your Xbox by holding the power button on your Xbox for 10 seconds. See if that works. Hopefully it does. If it doesnt, if I was you I would try it later because you dont want the number of switches left to go down.
