I cant send messages

i tried sending a message to someone but it wont send and keeps saying check your account - messaging isnt workingfor your account ive looked in my emails i havent been sursended ... please help im new to xbox one and would like to fix this asap

Hey, Vapid by any chance do you have a communications ban on your account? Have you tried calling Microsoft Support. Also, what about hard resetting your Xbox?

everytime i try to send a message to afriend i cant haven't been ban nor have i did anything wrong please help

https://account.live.com/proofs/Manage
look under "Security info helps keep your account secure" and make sure they have a phone and email listed.

If any are missing please add them. If Any ARE listed delete and re-add them. And Save Changes.

Then Restart Console Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide. Select Settings. > Select Restart console. > Select
Yes to confirm.

Once the Console Has restarted you should be able to send messages.
