    I can't send messages through Xbox?


    I try to send messages to some of my friends on Xbox Live, but then xbox gives me a message saying that I need to go to support.xbox.com/fix-messaging, when I look through, I've tried everything but nothing works. However, it also tells me to update my security
    info which involves a phone. And I dont have a phone. Is there another method that doesnt require a phone number?

    Can't send Messages through text

    i already went to the mcsft website to check accnt standing. I even spoke to a rep. We cant figure it out. Open nat settings receiving msgs works tried on different isp's and xbones

    Since october I have not been able to send messages without reason. I get an error that says "Messages are not working on your account...", they tell me that I should check enforcement.xbox.com, but everything is ok. I have seen
    more people with this problem and no solution!     What's going on?

    Hey there Saved Patriot.

    What type of mobile device are you using with the Xbox App? If you haven't already, please try uninstalling the app, power cycling your device, and re-installing the app to see if there's any change.

    Very odd, thanks for giving that a go!

    To check, do you have 2-step verification enabled on your account? If not, can you try enabling that and generating an app-specific password to sign into the app with to see if there's any change?
    @Mister Maka,

    I already have two-step on, and the app password won't work with the Xbox app.

    Aside from what others have said, have you tried clearing your cookies and cache in the browser you are trying to use?

    Also what happens when you try to send a message through the website, does it just not send, give you an error message or something else?
