I can't send messages nor post on my activity feed.

My account is 6 days old. I can't reply to friends when sent messages from them or players in games. It is frustrating as it makes me look rude, like that I am ignoring them.

I can't post on my activity feed either.

I put that I can't reply to messages in my profile but do people even read profiles other than to see how many followers you have?

I don't play many games and only have a few friends as I'm new. But I get asked questions and can't reply.

All I can do is start a party and talk on mic to people. But not everyone has a mic (or patience)

I went to xbox live chat and was told to go to privacy and turn every thing to every one. It didn't work, I get a message saying mesaging isn't working on my account go to support.xbox.com/fix-messages

It has me write in my phone number and submit for a code. I get nothing. So i repeat and then an error message appears saying daily limit has been exceeded try again tomorrow. Well yet again today, same error and the chat person sent me here hoping someone
might be able to help. I am at a loss here.

The reset was actually something that happened to my bethrothed when you had the black screen update. It reset the entire console and he had to reinstall all (actually he still has about 53 to install still) his games. So he had to reset his privacy options
and everything.

I didn't have my account then.

And I put privacy and online safety to everyone as the lady at xbox s support suggested. It didn't work.

Thats when she went to investigate the issue and emailed me to try posting here.

Yes, I verified everything. I had a gmail as an alt contact but changed it to phone (thats when I recieved a code on my phone immediately) . And when I did a security check the message was everything looked good. So I'm baffled. And bummed. :-/

Hey there Killa thanks for keeping in touch!

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused but rest assured we are here to help. In an effort to be extra thorough and to narrow down the actual problem we suggest Power cycling the Network Hardware (by unplugging the router and modem for a full
5 minutes) since there could be a miscommunication between the console and router. Also clear the Network Card Cache to get rid of any corrupt data on there. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes!

To clear the Network Card Cache (alternate MAC address)

Advanced settings

Alternate MAC Address

Clear and restart

Side note: This will not delete games or apps, this will only clear the Cache.

Thanks for the quick replies! I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble sending messages and not receiving the code to verify your account. I suggest to go online through a web browser on your phone (if no pc is available) sign in under your outlook account
you've made and follow the steps provided on our troubleshooting article
"Why can't I send messages from my Xbox One or the Xbox app?

After as suggested by our ambassador above remove and re-add your account
from your Xbox.

Side Note: It is very important to make sure you know the primary email/password to the account before removing it from the console.

And this is what I was told by xbox live support : This is about the issue with sending a message and unable to post on your activity feed. After the investigation, we don't see problem on the account that could hinder
us to send message and post to your feed. For instances like this, we recomment for you to post your concern to our forums online,
