I can't select game or party chat on fortnite

Discus and support I can't select game or party chat on fortnite in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; When I am in none of the chats I can chose and join the xbox chat but when I try to chose party or game chat it won't let me?     I can't select game or party chat on fortnite


    When I am in none of the chats I can chose and join the xbox chat but when I try to chose party or game chat it won't let me?

    Does anybody have any ideas as to how I can resolve this. I have tried updating the xbox and controllers and looked at my Microsoft security settings but nothing seems to resolve the problem.

    Any advise would be very welcome

    1. Sign out Fortnite, then sign back in.
    2. Install the latest Fortnite patch.
    3. Update your sound card driver.
    4. Make sure your microphone is on for Fortnite.
    5. Check your audio settings.
    6. Reinstall Fortnite

    FIX NEEDED. Game chat is not working in fortnite. xbox part chat works fine

    Join an Xbox party chat, go to options and switch to game chat. You can then leave the Xbox party and the fortnite party chat should work again

    While the party is snapped back out to the dashboard and highlight it, press Start and select Quit then rejoin the party.

    If you get in and can't hear anyone you're probably in Game Chat. Be sure to try switching to Party Chat by highlighting your gamertag and press A then select the proper option.

    And how am i supposed to listen what other players in party say if i can't wear this headset?

    I remember the selection menu allowed to select party voice chat output prior to linking with Discord account, and i did select "Speakers" option so i can listen game and other people in party. Why can't it work anymore?
