    I can't see my friend in game playing Destiny


    Is there a way to switch instances or something so I can play with a friend? When I travel to the tower in Destiny, the game indicates that I have a friend there. However, upon loading in, I check the roster and do not see them listed. Additionally, through
    voice chat we are standing in same place and I can't see them. When I examine their location it lists them as in the tower with me. So is there a way to switch instances so we can see each other and play together, be on the same roster? Shouldn't xbox live
    coordinate instances so linked friends always load into the same instance to avoid this problem? Or is there some other reason I can't see my friend in this game?

    unable to join game together in Destiny with friend who's on xbox 360 while I am on xbox one

    I am unable to invite an online friend in Destiny who's playing on an XBOX 360 while I am playing on an XBOX One. Is this a known limitation with cross platform friend games for Destiny or is there another reason why we can't play in the same game? When
    I try to invite him, I can never "see him in the list of friends", but we are able to send messages back and forth so he is clearly online.

    Two of my friends are currently downloading the update. I tried uninstalling my game to see if that would help but now I can't even install destiny itself. Hard restart doesn't help neither does wifi reset.

    I'm not sure how you're playing Destiny as the game requires a Gold Membership.

    However, when you have a Gold Membership to play multiplayer games you can press the Start button and then Left Trigger to scroll left. From there find his tag in the online list, press A then select Invite to Fireteam or Join Fireteam to join the same
    game with him.

    He can play single missions but just can't group without the gold membership

    do we both need to be gold to play together, or just one of us. Does Xbox deliberately separate non gold friends to incline us to increase our membership level? Or does Gold just afford us more inconvenience and make playing together easier? Seems to
    me there must be some way to play together without begin gold, right, I mean I can see other people?

    Well it is a ranked function

    You always needed gold for online play

    And destiny does statr you need gold and for multiplayer

    Compatibility play and Destiny

    Destiny isn't yet on the backward compatibility list and if I'm honest I can't ever see it being on there.

    However if it were on the list, then yes you'd be able to play with your friends on their 360. The backwards compatible games are running in a virtual 360.

    "Destiny" is a good game for this.

    You can't play the Raids with randoms.

    Forces people to make friends and communicate and play together.

    I haven't made as many good new friends with a game like this since the original "Gears Of War" came out.
