Is the payment method you are trying to remove associated with your current Gold subscription or did you use a prepaid card? If it is attached to this LIVE sub, you won't be able to remove it until it ends. Call up phone support in your region (support.xbox.com/.../contact-us.aspx)
and ask them to turn off auto-renewal, then when it expires you can remove the card. Alternatively, you can add a different payment method, and then it should allow you to remove the payment method.

Are you calling 00800 44 12 8732? If you call that number you should be able to get in touch with Xbox support and they will be able to cancel your account and remove the credit card and then credit you for the remaining time you had on your account by sending
you tokens by email. I hope this helps.

Also you can wait until your Gold Membership expire (Become Free member) then you will be able to remove it.

and as Drep I Mr PJ01 said if want remove before expire your Gold Membership need to contact support.
