I can't remember my family settings passcode or answer for security question.

Is there a way to reset or change the family settings code for my Xbox 360? no one in my family can remember it. And it has a timer on it that we can't shut off or do anything about. The code was put on to the family settings and forgotten about and now
no one remembers the code. Is there anyway someone can help solve this problem?

I can't remember the answer to my pascode question

so I can't remember the answer to my passcode question to reset my passcode on the parental controls under the family settings...all I wanted was to reset my passcode so I could turn the timer on so my Xbox and tv would shut off at the same time...does anyone
know how to reset the passcode question?

Forgotten password for family settings

Hi there

Can anyone help. I remember my password for x box but have completely forgotten my passcode for family security. It's giving me a reminder question of favourite super hero character but for the life I me I can't remember. How do I reset the reset answer.....

yes you have to call support they are the only ones that can help reset/remove that.

Hey there JAR! You can try to enter the code in wrong once and then select "Reset Passcode" If you don't remember the answer to the security question it asks you, you can follow the steps above that Dave suggested to contact Xbox Phone Support by clicking

Please do not post on old threads, instead, make a new thread! You will need to go ahead and reach out to Xbox Official Support to get that passcode reset.

Are you referring to the LIVE passcode, or the Family Settings passcode? The Family Settings code will not be reset by a recover. If you forgot this passcode you can try answering the security question or calling phone support.

No worries about the spelling. I believe the only way to reset the Family Settings passcode is either via answering the Family Settings security question, or by contacting Xbox Customer Support on the phone. Nothing on the website, as far as I know.

Oh! You might have console settings issues. You do have to do this on the console. You'd want to go to settings and family/family settings. If there are restrictions set, it will ask for a 4 digit passcode. You might have an option to answer a security question
if you don't know the passcode.

Or call hardware support for help resetting that.

Which passcode are you referring to, the Xbox LIVE (personal) passcode, or the Family Settings passcode? For the LIVE passcode, you can try recovering the profile. For the Family passcode, you need to either know the security answer, or call phone support.
