I can't redownload my Xbox 360 profile

So just starting a few days ago my Xbox 360 account couldn't connect to Xbox live nomader what I did. I've had it in the same spot for over a year and are just getting this problem. I tried resetting my router, clearing cache, removing all system updates, and the last thing I tried was to remove and redownload my account. So I deleted the account and went to redownload it and as soon as I clicked redownload it said "Can't connect to Xbox live. Select test connection to troubleshoot." My connection is fine, and I even tried to use other wifi and internet but it still shows that message. There is no error code, and I'm on the xbox 360. I really want my account back and I really want Xbox live to work for it. Please help

Clearing my xbox 360 storage didn't help. Before I at least had my profile downloaded. Now I can't even redownload it.

when changing gamertags you always need to redownload the profile on the 360 or for 360 games as it cannot update the stored info

Do I have to redownload my profile on a 360 console? I'm assuming redownloading my profile through the 360 interface while on my Xbox One (or future consoles) will do the trick but I just want to double check.

I've tired everything except moving onto a usb because my profile was already deleted off of my system and I can't get it back on. There is nothing wrong with my password. I can use it just fine on xbox.com and it works with all of my other Microsoft stuff.
And there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the system either.

My husband had no problem redownloading his profile. He lost access to xbox live when we did the update. I lost complete access to my profile on the 360. I've already removed the download, but I had to redownload it because without it I couldn't even attempt
to redownload my profile.

Whatever the issue is, it specifically has to do with my profile and I don't know why. Like I said, no issue with my account anywhere else. Only on the xbox 360. If I can't access my profile on this system, I'll be pretty upset as I have made quite a few
purchases through the store that I will no longer have access to.
