    I can´t redeem Minecraft Java Edition


    I believe that from now on you can claim a edition of Minecraft if you have the other one. In my case I have Minecraft Bedrock Edition and I want to get the Java Edition, but when I go to the Microsoft Store I can only buy it or buy Xbox Game Pass. Any idea how I can redeem Minecraft Java Edition?

    Thanks for taking the time to share it. If you sign in to the Minecraft website, are you able to redeem Minecraft Java Edition there, does it show that you also own Java Edition or it asks you to buy Java Edition?

    I had the same problem,it says i can t play java beacuse i play minecraft windows edition through family sharing,but like 4 months ago it works,i had java and windows edition(i bought Win edition from 2019),and now i don t get what the problem is

    So then do i redeem the code on the giftcard and click next?

    And does it have to be the exaclty the same like minecraft java and bedrock edition costs $40 and i have a $50 xbox can i still get minecraft java and bedrock edition even if the xbox giftcard value $10 more?
