I can't redeem Java Minecraft even though I already have Bedrock

Just to confirm, were you able to migrate your Mojang account to Microsoft already before you tried redeeming the other free version?

Based on the Minecraft page, you must migrate to a Microsoft account before you can receive this entitlement. If you already own one version of Minecraft on a Microsoft Secured Account (MSA), then you’re entitled to the other version for free! Your current version of the game will remain unaffected.

If ever you are having problems receiving the other version of the game, I suggest to submit a ticket to Mojang support via https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/66...

Just scroll down below and choose the "Contact Support" option to submit a ticket to them.

So then do i redeem the code on the giftcard and click next?

And does it have to be the exaclty the same like minecraft java and bedrock edition costs $40 and i have a $50 xbox can i still get minecraft java and bedrock edition even if the xbox giftcard value $10 more?

it does not show minecraft bedrock edition as already purchased on this account, it is making me buy Java and bedrock. I do not want Java, I just want bedrock, which I should already have.

I purchased the bedrock console version and I own the digital copy of Minecraft for windows but can't claim the java edition
