I can't purchase Xbox live through debit/PayPal payments or code redemption on my console ...

Hey guys im having trouble trying to purchase Gold Xbox live on my console and pc. I've tried using my debit card to make the purchase aswell as through PayPal both billing methods didnt work. I went out to EB Games today and purchased 12 a month card with
a 25-digit code on it. I've now tried entering it on my xbox one console and it comes up with:

Something went wrong

Give it another try. If it happems again, let us know by entering te code below at xbox.com /errorhelp so we can investigate

(then it hase the "close" option) and...

So i tried it again and it comes up the same with these codes:

so i go to the error help page and search the code: 80169D3A
and it comes up with either 1: suspicious or fradulent activity 2: incomplete billing information
and to please contact microsofts support team through the contact us link below..

then i chose to chat with an microsoft support member and it sent me to the login page since trying to access sensitive information
but then after entering the correct password it comes up with:

Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened. It appears you've found a glitch in the system.

xbox.com/paypal website not working?

They might be having some problems with paypal. I tried to look into to this for you and it seems that at the moment you can't add a paypal account through xbox.com or billing.microsoft.com only credit/debit cards. I have already had a paypal account linked
to my xbox live gamertag account so it will allow me to edit or give me an option to change payment method to another paypal account.

Xbox Live Marketplace Doesn't Let Me Buy Anything

Hello,

I am trying to purchase Red Dead Redemption on Xbox Live. When I choose my PayPal account I get the following message: "Can't authorize the selected payment option. Please select a different payment option or add a new one.

I get the same message when trying to buy directly with my Visa debit card (the same I have connected to PayPal).

I also get an error when trying to buy from xbox.com.

My last purchase was on 2/27/13 - two games (Bioshock, El Shaddai). I used the PayPal option and had no problems.

I checked my Microsoft account profile and updated my address info to match my card.

Can you help?

I know when trying to use certain resources on the marketplace or making purchases if your home address doesn't match the address of your biling information it'll throw a red flag and stop you from processing your request. Check your billing address for
your debit card matches your home address.

Also that error code says your account maybe locked by Microsoft for security reasons, so if your billing details are all filled in correctly, matching and it still doesn't work try calling the support line instead so they can check your account

While the Xbox Billing system is not set up to specifically accept Debit cards, they can work for purchases. I often use my Visa Debit for purchases on Xbox.

Although if a Debit card does not work then there is not much anyone can do, the officially supported methods of payment are Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Paypal.

If you are haveing trouble with a Debit card you could try linking that to a Paypal account and then the Paypal to the Xbox account. Or just use Pre Paid Codes.

Xbox Live Gold subscriptions can't be purchased with currency added to your account. There are separate Gold subscription cards available for purchase if you don't want to have a payment option (credit/ debit card, PayPal) attached to your account.

Xbox Live currency does not show up on marketplace.xbox.com. One marketplace.xbox.com, you must use either a credit/debit card or PayPal, the only valid payment methods, to purchase games; unfortunately, the only way to buy an Xbox 360 game with Xbox Live
credit is through an Xbox 360, and I know you said you don't own one.

If using an Xbox 360 is not an option, you must use a credit/debit card or PayPal; you can then use the Xbox Live credit for buying Xbox One games on through store.xbox.com or the console itself.
