    I can't purchase game pre orders on the Xbox store.


    Whenever I try to purchase a pre-order on the store, I just get an "oops" from the store and the purchase fails. I have plenty of money for the pre orders, and I've checked all things on my account and I have no idea what's wrong. This happened with my
    attempts with Doom Eternal first, which I went through by a digital pre order from a game store, but there are a few games releasing soon that I would like the pre-order content for but the issue is still reoccurring. I've tried support, but they haven't had
    any solution for my specific problem. Does anyone have the same problem or knows how to fix this issue? I'd like to get this resolved before October 15th so I can get everything I want.

    Getting excited. Finally was smart and pre-ordered Madden, Fifa, & Forza at the same store where I pre-ordered my Xbox one (eb games store) today.

    Can't wait for the 22nd now.

    Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this question. At current, it is not possible to pre-order as a gift from the online Microsoft store. If you do wish to make that purchase for a friend, you may need to either gift them currency or make the
    pre-order from a stand alone retailer.

    I'm not mistaken, if you have pre ordered from the Microsoft store, you purchase will be automatically tied to the account that made the purchase.

    This means that you will not need a beta code but can just sign with the correct account when the beta releases. Pre order content should also be tied to the same account.
    I ordered it from the Microsoft Store not the Xbox Store. The Xbox Store tells that if you pre-order it you get early beta and bonus, but i don't know if Microsoft Store does the same thing.

    Does the purchase connect?

    Can you clarify where you pre-ordered the game? Did you pre-order the game from a retailer such as GameStop or did you purchase it from the Xbox Store?

    Pre-orders are not eligible for MyVIP. For reference, game consumables, pre-orders, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP, as explained in our FAQ:

    Most purchases for Xbox 360 and Xbox One from the Xbox Store qualify, including full Games on Demand titles (excluding game pre-orders), arcade games, indie games, game add-ons, game Season Passes, movies, TV shows, TV seasons, themes and avatar items. However,
    the purchase or redemption of pre-order games, in-game consumables, Xbox Live Gold memberships, Groove Music Passes, Microsoft Movies & TV Season Passes, and the purchase or redemption of Microsoft Points or Xbox Gift Cards, do not qualify.
