I can't purchase a backwards compatible game

Discus and support I can't purchase a backwards compatible game in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I was trying to buy Asura's Wrath on my Xbox One because it's list on the backwards compatible section of the Xbox store but every time I try I get a...     I can't purchase a backwards compatible game


    I was trying to buy Asura's Wrath on my Xbox One because it's list on the backwards compatible section of the Xbox store but every time I try I get a "you have no valid payment options on file" and it give you the option to add a new card, but when
    I do it takes me back to the game and it still says "no valid payment options on file" so I went online and figured I could buy it from my PC to play on my Xbox (I have done this with other 360 games that I've bought) but I get the same message there, so I
    contact Xbox support and after about an hour an a half of removing my card and re-entering it they finally tell me that the only way to change your payment options for a backwards compatible game is from an Xbox 360 console and that there was nothing they
    could do.....this can't be correct, right? does anyone know a way around this?

    Thanks, but i'm sure the game is backwards compatible, it also is Xbox One X enhanced and there are people still playing on the new consoles X/S. I didn't search through the list, but i can tell you that it is 100% backwards compatible. I only can't purchase it from the Store/marketplace, i click the "confirm" button at the end of transition but nothing happen.. they should take it out of marketplace, because it says "19,99€" but i can't do anything. Other games i can't purchase don't show the price, this one does! Backwards compatible or not!

    cannot buy anything from the microsoft store even though i have money.

    Backward compatible titles can't be purchased with prepaid cards.

    You'll need a creditcard or paypal for these kind of purchases.

    Do you still have the old card there at all ? If so try removing that. I'd also double check that the address on your account matches exactly with that held by your card issuer.
    I removed the old card and the card shows up if I try to buy a newer game but it doesn't show up for backwards compatible games...which is stupid because I just bought Castlevania LOS from my Xbox one 2 weeks ago before my old card expired

    Sorry to hear it. Unfortunately currency on your account cannot be used to purchase Xbox 360 titles unless you're actually on the Xbox 360 when purchasing.

    That doesn't work either, it gives me the same message that I get on my Xbox one and if I use the link to "add a new card' it takes me to https://account.microsoft.com and the
