I can't play xbox multiplayer

I need help. I don't know how to fix this glitch its like I was playing like usual and then I got on then can't play multiplayer. I tried to play with my friends and didn't work. I checked my multiplayer and it was all fine. It been the same sense I been here. everything is allowed but still didn't work. I looked on youtube to see how to fix it but it always said click allow on everything I did that. but it kept saying can't join because the way your account set up. I really need help please

Would you please share a screenshot of the error message you receive?

As you mentioned, you already set your privacy settings to allow multiplayer, right?

Looks like it is just a matter of privacy settings.

To change your Xbox account privacy settings, sign in to the privacy & online safety page:

Set all the settings to "Allow" or "Everyone" on the three tabs:

Privacy;

Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One & Windows 10 Online Security;

Xbox 360 Online Security;

Note: If you’re on a child account, you’ll need an adult in your family to sign in to their Microsoft account to change your privacy settings. This is done through the Family settings.
