Can't Play Witcher 3

I bought the Witcher 3 when it came out. I have the game installed to the console. I didn't play it for a while and now the console acts as if I don't own it when I try to play it. I get error code 0x87de07d1. I have the disc in the drive and it says I don't
have rights to play the game. I can't possibly own it anymore than I do. I understand that I can unplug the Xbox power for a bit and plug it back in. That works but only until I turn the game off again. This is ridiculous. Help!!

 

Had you purchased the game from the marketplace? If so, was it your gamertag that made the purchase?

If it was not your gamertag that made the purchase then that gamertag must either be logged in when you play or it must be set so that your console is the tag's Home console.

 

There are a couple of different ways you could fix this-

That will give you quite a few options on how to take care of the issue!

You didn't answer my question.

If you digitally purchased the game using the gamertag that you are posting with and cannot play the game then you will need to contact phone support as it would seem to be a billing issue.

If you live in North America then dial 1-800-469-9269

If you did not digitally purchase the game using your gamertag then the tag that originally purchased the game will either need to be logged in or have your console set as it's Home console.

If the game was installed using a disc then the disc is required to play the game.
