    You can check what region you selected when you made your XBOX Live account if you're not sure by going to
    http://biiling.microsoft.com and see what it says for personal information there. If it lists United States then you need to make a new account as you registered under the wrong region. You can only
    pay for UK if you live in the UK, it switches to dollars if your account is in the United States.
