    Firstly, are you on a child account? (Microsoft automatically assign any account with the age set to below 21 years as a child account). If you're on a child account, you'll need a parent (adult) account in order to change your privacy settings.

    The parent account will need to create a family group and add you as a "Member" while they are the "Organiser" in order to change your settings. Here's a detailed explanation of how to do that https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-bil....

    Refer to the "Manage settings on Xbox.com" tab, underneath it you'll find how to manage your privacy settings on an Adult or Child account.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    If you can confirm that you have "allow" the correct setting via this link https://account.xbox.com/settings and you're still getting an error it can be due to a subscription.

    Do you have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate? The game requires an Xbox Live Gold which is required to play online multiplayer. To check follow the steps below:

    Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, and then select System > Settings > Account > Subscriptions.
