I can't play Online on new Xbox One with the same account.

So recently I got a new Xbox One from someone I know. I have it all hooked up and it is connected to Xbox Live in my own room, but despite signing into it with my primary account it still says I need Xbox Live Gold. I can connect to multiplayer servers online
with the Xbox One that my brothers all use with that account and it automatically logs me out of the new Xbox. I think it has to be some setting/authority issue. But I have looked all over the internet and could not find any solution.

What actions do I need to take?

Sea of Thieves not allowed to play online

Hi,

I have two Xbox accounts on the same PC and two Game Pass subscriptions.

On one account I am able to play Sea of Thieves, but when logging in to the other account I get an error message that I can't play online and that I need to change the Xbox online and privacy settings.

So I made sure to apply exactly same settings on both accounts, but still I can only play on one of the accounts. Anyone know what is going on? Both accounts are adult accounts if that would make a difference.

 

Xbox one login problem

hello, i can't login with my account on my xbox one, the password is failed. When i login on the online side in my xbox account it works perfect with the same password. What can i do?

 

If this is the account you're using, You don't show as having gold. It sounds like the other Xbox has another account on it that does have gold that you have been sharing. You would need your own gold subscription or share gold with someone else on the new
console.

 

Actually that makes sense. I do actually have a unused but expired 12 Month Xbox Live Gold Subscription card lying around that I just found while doing cleaning. (Expired on Saturday, August 08, 2015 according to the email)

Can such a thing be redeemed?

 

You can always try it, but if it says it's expired it probably won't work.
