I can't play online despite using a 48-hour trial code

Hi. I have tried for nearly three hours to play online and should sleep soon. I have tried log in and log out and also reconnect to the internet but I still can't play online. The 48-hour trial code for Gold has certainly been activated.

Please help me.

I wasn't aware there was a 48 hour pass for only BF3 multi-player.

All that was included in my copy was a regular 48 hour trial and the online pass.

Perhaps you are mistakenly trying to add the trial code? The online pass is a one time only deal linked to the account it is redeemed on.

 

Why isnt this guy banned?

When people have a silver gamertag but they're playing online it means that they used a 48 hour trial code. That lets them play online for 48 hours but it doesn't show up that they have gold because they don't... it's a trial.

 

Trial codes do not give you a full Gold membership. They are restricted in what you are allowed to do many times just for playing mmo games and/or the game it came with.

 

I used a trial before for online/multi and I never had issues. Granted it has been years since I used a trial. Things may have changed.

Most trial codes only apply to the game they came with. It's a trial and states that in the fine print. It was never going to grant the full Gold experience.

You also are limited in the number of trials you can use within a certain time frame and unlike purchased Xbox Live Gold, trials don't stack nor add to an existing Gold subscription.

With a little bit of searching you can find a full year of Gold for $35-40 US most times of the year and avoid the hassle of being limited in your gaming.

I have no problem paying for Gold if I use my Xbox. I have not touched it for a long time.
