I can’t play on Minecraft realms, I’ve tried everything.

When trying to join or create a realm on xbox one, I am given an error message saying that I “cannot play online because of how my Microsoft account is set up”. I’ve allowed every privacy setting on the aka.ms/accountsettings website, including
“join multiplayer games”. I’ve allowed every option on my privacy settings on my xbox. Ive uninstalled Minecraft and reinsatlled it, removed and added my account, entirely reset my xbox, checked every similar forum (and I haven’t found one where there was
a solution that worked). I can join realms on my iOS device on the same Microsoft account, but nothing on my xbox. On top of that, I have other accounts on my xbox that have the same issue. Is there anything I’m missing or should I now conclude that it’s just
the console itself.

Just to be sure, you have your Xbox Live Gold subscription up to date?

You should try changing the wifi DNS to manual. That worked for me.

I guess I didn’t try everything. I didn’t think you needed gold for cross platform play, I looked it up and the result I found told me that at least. But after just now purchasing it, it works. Makes me feel kinda dumb but I appreciate the help.
