bought gold subscription and cant use it [Mod removed- inappropriate] Have tried rebooting game, rebooting console, removing account, none have worked

please double check
http://account.microsoft.com/services to see if the subscription is showing there. If the subscription shows, try the following steps in this exact sequence:

Remove profile from the console (Make sure you know the account credentials for the account, since you will need them later)
Perform the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

Redownload your profile

I had the same issue, when i spoke with microsoft support they asked me to deleted my profile and reinstall, it sounds mad but that legit worked. Its something about your profile becoming corrupt.

Hey OsDeLoutre, delete your profile from Xbox and install again, that will fix your problem.

That’s the weird thing I’m not trying to play multiplayer, I remember there being a way to disconnect form the Xbox live servers but I can’t find it
