Faulty Kinect - seems a common problem

Have put my dodgy Kinect on my sons Xbox and it appears to work fine on his!

Not yet connected his Kinect to test it on my Xbox but will later.

Guessing it's an issue on the machine and always thought it started playing up after an update. If his is the same I may opt for a factory reset..... Has anybody with Kinect issues resolved by a factory reset?

Which factory reset - keep games & apps, or full reset - did you do?

Did you add your profile back to your console after the reset?

What error do you get when you attempt to launch the game?

 

i did keep games & apps

i still got same email adres name but all my achievements are gone

and my in game profile name is not the same any more i dont no why

Thanks for the reply! Before you did the soft factory reset, Did you write down your Microsoft email and gamertag credentials?

Sounds like you may be having issues recovering the correct Microsoft account associated with your gamertag. If you are unsuccessful in recovering the correct account, please

contact Customer Support for more assistance.

 

So your gamertag went from, for example, MyGamertag to HappyPerson789? That, plus not having any achievements, suggests you're not signing in with the Microsoft account that you were using before.

We suggest , if it hasn't already been done, try a Microsoft Account recovery form.
Also try signing in from another device (Pc, phone ect) in order for us to narrow the problem down. Also if the only information known is the Gamertag then we suggest

Each Microsoft account can only be attached to one Gamertag so the problem is that the correct account isn't signed in. What is recommended is to recover the correct account so we can
then download the profile with the right Gamertag and all its content. Go ahead and
Request
a Callback so we can do this in a step by step style so we can get this issue resolved!

if it was digitally downloaded, it is lost as a reset formats the hard drive, if you have it on disc you should be able to play it but might lose your saved progress
