    hello,

    so i just bought minecraft and tried playing multiplayer on it, i still couldn't play it showed that, "multiplayer is disabled. please check you microsoft account" so i did even though i was above 18 not a part of any family group i couldn't play then i tried checking ln xbox there everthing was fine multiplayer was allowed too but still i couldn't play minecraft multiplayer.

    please help me fix this i tried everyting in my power to fix it it still isnt fixed though.

    If you are an adult but have the wrong birth date on the account, you need to change the account information as if you were a child.

    Sign in to your Microsoft account, as if you were a child

    Select Learn more about parent/guardian consent at the bottom of the information prompt.

    On the next screen, click Update account information .

    If prompted, enter your name and click Update .

    Next, you will see the screen to update your date of birth.

    No, it is not. I thought I mentioned in the post that I even tried adding it to a family group, tested the settings, and then switched it so that it was the manager of the family group. Neither of those things worked. It is now not part of a family group. In addition, each of the times I attempted to access the settings from the account that was only listed as a member, not as the owner of the family group, I was unable to even get to the page that displays the settings. This leads me to believe that being part of a family group has no bearing on the issue at hand.

    I understand your problem. Here are some steps you could follow to solve the problem:

    Leave your family group in Microsoft: If you are part of a family group, please leave it.
    Allow multiplayer on Xbox: Make sure “You can join multiplayer games” is enabled in the Xbox One/Windows 10 online security settings.
    Set your birthday to 18+: Make sure your Microsoft account has a birth date of legal age (+18).
    Restart Minecraft: Close and reopen Minecraft.

    unless you are part of a Microsoft family with that account, contact someone who is over 18 they could help you out

    but if your not a part of a Microsoft family and because you accidentally made it under 18 and cant edit it currently, you will most likely need to contact support
