I can't play Minecraft despite having bought the game

Do you have the confirmation about this purchase with the transaction ID in your Microsoft account?
If you're not able to find it probably you're using the wrong account.

I have the same issue, I've bought minecraft on another console but it doesn't register me having it on the minecraft launcher despite having it before on there

I'm sorry your brother is experiencing this with his Minecraft multiplayer error.

I understand that you have already changed his Xbox privacy settings yet to no avail.

Kindly try to perform the following workarounds just in case this would work according to the official Xbox website: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help...ttings by selecting View details & customize.

"Sign in to Xbox.com using the parent account.

Select the Gamertag, and then select the More actions button (…).

Select Xbox settings, and then select Privacy & online safety. Because you’re accessing sensitive info, you might have to enter your password or PIN.

Select the gamertag of your brother's account that you want to manage.

Select the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 devices Online Safety tab or the Privacy tab.

Review the current settings and update all of the options as "Block", and then select Submit to save the changes.

Note: You must select Submit at the bottom of the page before leaving or switching to another tab. If you don't submit the changes before you move to the other tab, your changes won't be saved."

Then sign back in the parent account and update all of the options as "Allow" and "Everyone", and then select Submit to save the changes.

After signing out, sign in back into your brother's account on Minecraft launcher, then check if he will be able to access the Minecraft multiplayer feature.

Despite the Xbox status saying things are fine, we still can't get into Minecraft (same error code others are reporting). We just bought our Xbox One yesterday and my husband is being *** that we're having these issues. We can't even play offline.

And that text alert you can sign up for? Never got one, even tho the status changed to "up and running".
