Ignoring them is good... people hate to be ignored, especially those who send such things to seek a response.

You could just stay away from certain modding sites that tell you this kind of story works to get a free change.

Those sites will just end up getting you a ban in the long run.

I let messages like that go in one ear and out the rubber. I can mess with them back or just block/ignore and very rarely report. Thicken your skin and do as advised and things should be OK.

Yeah, if you get hate, just block, mute and report the people bugging you. It may be annoying, but I love it when people talk trash and be all offensive, that way I can report them.

But seriously, block, mute and report them and you should be fine.

Also, the hate messages will gradually slow down soon enough, so I wouldn't worry about changing your name.
