I can't play Halo Reach offline. This is really frustrating.

Okay, so I hadn't played Reach in a long time since I had it deleted off my hard drive to save space, but recently I redownloaded it. But now, whenever I try to launch the game while I'm offline, it says "Can't launch: Halo Reach". If I disconnect while
playing, it says something along the lines of "Disconnected from Xbox Live. Reconnect to continue. 10 minutes remaining." and gives me another notification for every minute left.

This never used to happen. I can't always be connected, and before I deleted it I could always play perfectly fine while offline. So what is this? Is this some kind of dumb new policy? I'd like to actually own and be in control of a game I bought.

I HAVE TO HAVE REACH TO PLAY MULTIPLAYER?????????

Really, if what I keep hearing is true...that is just stupid. Can someone confirm or deny this? I really want to get this game but I don't have Reach and don't want to spend $60 on Reach if I can't even play Halo: CEA.

Have you changed consoles since you originally downloaded Reach? Have you license transferred to another console? You may need to transfer the license to your current console.

I have not changed consoles. I think I originally bought it on a different account, but before I deleted it a while ago, I could play it perfectly fine while signed in to any account, connected or not.

Downloaded games can only be played using the account where it was orginally purchased with. Please verify your account where the purchase was been made with and then try to play the game with the account were it was purchased with. Is the error disappeared?

FS - as long as he is playing on the console the game was originally downloaded on, or the console with the licenses, he can access the game from other profiles, not just the one that purchased the game.

There are other games I own that were purchased on other accounts that work regardless. Also, like I said, Reach used to work fine on any account, but not anymore. Smwutches is right, it should play fine regardless of which account I'm signed into. So I'm
not sure what the problem is.
