I can't play Forza Horizon 5 anymore due to a Microsoft Gaming Services issue.

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues playing Forza after a recent update. Here are some troubleshooting steps that will hopefully solve your problem.

Solution 1:

Try reinstalling the Gaming Services package on your Windows device:

1. Right-click the Start button in the lower-left corner of the main screen, and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).
   
2. In the Administrator: Windows PowerShell screen, type the following command and press Enter:
   
   Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers
   
3. Restart your device.
   
4. Start the Xbox application. You should see a blue banner with the following message: "This app needs an extra component. Gaming Services is needed for playing some games. Administrator approval required. Install"
   
5. Select Install to reinstall Gaming Services.
   

Solution 2:
Open RegEdit as an administrator and delete the following Services:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServices]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServicesNet]

Restart your device, Install gaming service like you would normally.

Solution 3:
Go to Windows settings > Applications > Applications and Features > Look for Gaming Services, Click on it > Advanced options > Tap repair

If those solutions don't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling Forza Horizon 5 as well as re-installing the Gaming services. Someone else on the Forums mentioned this worked for them.

Same error here. Unable to download FH5. This is terrible, any solution working.

The ban is only part of the OP issue...their main problem is that they cannot sign in to Forza Horizon 5 with a different Microsoft/Xbox account like you should be able to. Because of that they can't play due to the account being banned from XBox Live

Problem solved, I created a new account on microsoft store and xbox app and games Forza Horizon 5 are now running smoothly. I can't use my main account anymore for some reason, but as long as the game runs smoothly it's fine. Thanks for your atention.
