I CAN'T PLAY ANY OF MY GAMES !!!

Why do I need XBL to play my games OFFLINE!? I have been a Microsoft supporter since the original Xbox, but this is making wonder if I backed the right team. I buy xbox for GAMING! If it can't even do that now, it's time to buy a machine that does what I
need it to do... consistently.

Can't play any of my gears of war game

Installed game. Launched game. I signed in. My boyfriend signed in as a guest. Picked campaign coop, new, save slot 1, then gets a message error lost connection with host please return to main menu. Tried again and again , even tried solo. Won't let me play
anything. Gone all Christmas devastated. Just want to play the campaign with my fella. Please Help!!!

 

I can't play any game.

Check your network connection to make sure you are connected then factory restore but keep your game and apps

Go to network settings > advance settings > alt mac address > clear then restart to make sure you are connected

Check your Xbox for updates in my games and apps > updates and under settings > system > updates

If none of these steps work go to settings > system > console info > reset console

 

Regarding the sign in issue: There is an ongoing issue with Xbox Live in which some people cannot sign in. I would check
support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status every 30 minutes for updates regarding the status of Xbox Live until the issue is resolved. I understand why you feel upset over this issue as
I cannot sign into my gamertag on my Xbox One right now due to this issue.

As to why you can't play your games offline, you are required to be signed into Xbox Live for games that have been downloaded if the console you are on isn't designated as your home console. Also, if you have any games on disc, you can still play those offline
unless it is an online only game such as Titanfall.

 

BF4 won't play period. Same with Watchdogs. Both are on disk and just freeze in the startup screen for a while before crashing and telling me that the game took too long to load.

 

Same is happening to me, glad to see its not just my xbox. After paying all that money for games and console & whatnot its a bit of a joke!

 

Mine did the same with BF4. I then tried Madden 25 which I couldn't get to work either. Tried BF4 a couple more times and after a VERY long wait it allowed me to play.

Frustrating I know and to add to the topic if we don't need XBL for netflix anymore why doesn't it work? Nor any of the other Apps I selected after reading online they do work just XBL was down. I guess I need to drag my PS3 out of my bedroom and hook
it up just for such instances... Sad microsoft it's sad...

Well.... After much disc swapping, power pressing, and other assorted asshattery, I am now able to play, um, Outlast some crazy how. I'm confused. I'm just going to watch Star Wars on blu ray. At least Star Wars is always there for me.

Hey, this happened to me, hold the center button on the controller down and restart the system, I managed to get on immediately after.

what the F...k!!!! I spend all this money on a system and games. Now there not playable. Im signed in as me. games just don't load. can someone tell me what the ..... is going on?

 

My xbox hasn't been able to do anything for a few days now... Hopefully whatever this is gets resolved in time for the Destiny beta launch. That beta was my entire reason for buying the xbox when I did... :/
