I cant play a game that was bought for me

I bought UFC 4 today whilst on discount but had to ask my mum for permission as her payment details are on her xbox account. So she bought it through her phone and usually it would then say “Install you own this” where it previously said buy and said price. This time, however, nothing had changed. It still says “buy” and i cant install the game even though it has been bought. Help would be very appreciated.

Are you accessing the game on the same device where you played it before?

When you check your order history, did you select all available to see all transactions you made? Regardless of how long they were, the transactions should not be removed or deleted.

Please log in to your account on the web at the link below and change the timeline from 3 months to All Available.

If you could not find the game, you might have purchased it on a different account. You can trace it using the card you used to purchase the game.

Please check if your credit card is listed here, then click on "Investigate" to see if there are any transactions associated with it (specifically for the game in question).

It will display a partially masked email, providing a hint about which account the transaction is linked to.

Thanks, sorry to give you the bad news but unfortunately an in-game purchase is not proof of ownership.

Due to you can access to the game via game pass subscription or game sharing with a friend.

In this case I can advise you first to find the confirmation email from Microsoft Store about this purchase, in that email you can find the order number related to the purchase.

Once you have it, contact Microsoft support and double check with them what happened to the game
