I can't open a game i downloaded from game pass on PC

I recently downloaded Middle earth Shadow of war on my pc from game pass. I used to be able to play the game no problem but a few months ago it just stopped opening, it would crash instantly, no Idea why so I uninstalled it after a few days of trying different things, recently I redownloaded it and the exact same thing happens still, I have tried to run it in admin mode but I can't because I don't have access to the game files as it's from game pass and they lock everything, I can't even open the folder that it is contained in without changing the owner of the folder but even then the game exe file cant be run as an admin because I don't have permission. the game runs if I play it on the cloud streaming service but the input latency is terrible and the game graphics are crude compared to my pc, I just can't find any solution anywhere, I have tried everything I can think of except throwing my pc out the window and getting a new one. please tell me someone has a fix that i don't know about?

ill think about it, its a huge task to go through with as I need to reinstall all of the apps I have currently, which there are a lot of, so thanks but that option is a last resort and even then I don't think ill do it.

Try to restore your OS, Dan:

Step 1: Click Update & security on the Settings page to continue.

Step 2: Click Recovery and click Get Started on the right to continue.

Step 3: Choose Keep my files to reset your PC.

Step 4: Read the subsequent messages and click Reset.

After the computer has restarted successfully, you have refreshed Windows 10.

First, make sure your windows and all its services are up to date:

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

Then try this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

If it still doesn't work:

In the windows search bar type Powershell > Right click and select open as administrator > Type the command: "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers" > Wait for the process to finish and then restart the PC and try again.

i appreciate the help but nothing on this list worked for me, the game still shows the splash screen then a loading symbol, and then just closes, with no error or anything.

Well, this will only delete the games you have, but apps and files will stay.
