I can't link my twitch account to my Xbox account on PC

I am trying to link my Xbox account to my Twitch account using the PC Xbox app or the Xbox gamebar on PC but it doesn't work. When I click the link button under my account I get taken to the login page for twitch but after entering my username, password and MFA code the loading page hangs and the button I pressed constantly spins. If I close the window at this point and then try to relink the account it comes up with a permissions screen asking me to allow Xbox permissions to my twitch account however when I click accept the page returns to the login screen and the same issue happens.

After entering my username, password and MFA code I get an email from twitch saying I successfully logged in but the login page does not show this. I've tried to reset and repair the xbox app but this has not made any affect. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

a day before i wrote that hopefully there will be a turn around to fix this issue but for now that's all i got

thanks, this also worked for me. interesting it works on the android app but not on the xbox itself (series x) and i couldn't figure out where to do it on xbox.com

Can confirm, linking Twitch account from Xbox Android app is successful. Thank you for the workaround!

exact same problem here, also i asked twitch wether i can do the linking from their side. but no.

why is this so hard to fix for microsoft? the only answers are the same silly "clear cache, close antivirus ****"

we need a real solution.

i am paying for xbox gamepass ultimate; i want to be able to stream my games.
