I can't launch any xbox games

Hello,

I was using my Xbox game pass games without any issues until recently. We had a power outage while I was playing No Man's Sky mid-game.

When my PC rebooted all my installed games have the message in the Microsoft Store "This app encountered a problem. Please reinstall it to repair"

I did just that with No Man's Sky, then the game boots for a few seconds and then crashes again, then it's back to the same message as above. This issue goes for all games. Every reinstall I do it launches for a few seconds then crashes then all games require
a reinstall all over again.

I'm having the same issue with NMS but this is the first info I've been able to find on the issue and no solutions, unfortunately.

If I try to repair it like it says I just get an error message that something unexpected happened followed by error Code: 0x80073CF9.

I've tried repairing, uninstalling, and reinstalling the game, I even tried the same for the xbox beta app and I just end up with the same error code.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

uninstall and reinstall the profile. Most likely there is a corrupt file causing the issue.

Hello Matyas, have you checked if you have the latest version of Windows installed, at 21H2, because recently came out the latest update to Windows 10.

Microsoft releases some important fixes for Win 10 and 11 but they appear as "Optional Updates" on the system, after updating them to make sure you have the Xbox App Companion installed, it works in conjunction with the Xbox App.
