    I can't join Xbox live rewards even though I have a gold membership


    I have tried to join Xbox rewards but I get a message saying I cannot join Xbox live rewards strictly because I don't have an Xbox live membership! The thing is I do have a gold membership for the last 4 years!

    Can anyone help?

    Hi

    When I try to join Xbox rewards I get a message saying" you cannot join Xbox live rewards strictly because you don't have an Xbox live gold membership" i have been an Xbox gold member for the last 4 years and have just renewed my 5th years membership!

    Can you help fix this issue for me?

    So I just bought a gold membership, but every time I try to play online I'm not allowed to. does it have something to do with my account being a child account? I tried to log into my other account (which is an adult account) to try to play online, but it

    From the FAQ:

    I was referred by an Xbox Live Rewards Gold member and purchased an Xbox Live Online Gold membership. I'm also an Xbox Live Rewards member. When can I expect to receive my 5,000 Rewards Credits?



    To receive your 5,000 Rewards Credits, you must join Xbox Live Rewards and upgrade your Xbox Live account to Gold Online membership within 14 days of receiving the referral and retain your Gold membership for at least 30 days. If you meet all these requirements,
    Credits may take up to 45 days to be deposited into your Microsoft account.

    Subscribed To Xbox Gold But Cannot Get Free Gold Games

    It is showing up in the commerce/billing page of my account as Xbox Live Gold subscription but still no luck. I will give it more time as you suggested.

    The issue with the live rewards was a weird one. I originally joined Xbox rewards in the US region by accident even though my account was Canadian. They told me leave the rewards program and rejoin after 48 hours. Unfortunately, it's been over a week and
    I still can't rejoin. I click to join and it just keeps taking me to the join page again in a vicious cycle. Support is looking into it as part of another thread/post I have on here as well.

    Xbox rewards cost

    Hello pecanrosie,

    There is no cost to join the Xbox Live Rewards program. An active Gold membership is not a requirement for this program.

    Hi there Bl4chSh33p,

    As per the Xbox Live Rewards FAQ, trial memberships may not be eligible for Xbox Live Rewards. See here: "Xbox Live Rewards can only recognize paid monthly or yearly standard, non-promotional Xbox Live Gold memberships. If you have a different type of membership,
    we may not be able to recognize you as an Xbox Live Rewards Gold member."

    Purchasing an Xbox Live subscription while on a trial SHOULD add the remaining days of the trial to your subscription. I'm not 100% certain on that though.

    We see that you were referred August 2nd, and that the Credits for that referral have been pending since September. You can see these pending Credits on your MyRewards page.
