I can't install games on my drive of choice

    I can't install games on my drive of choice


    The Xbox app knows I have a B:\ drive, I selected it in the general settings. But when I go to install any game I only see my C, D and F. Someone suggested I change the drive letter, so I changed it to E:\ and it still doesn't allow me.

    The weird thing is I've already managed to install Halo Wars 1 and 2 fine. I don't know what happened.

    Hi there Supra welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Try this advice:

    "Try changing the default location for new apps in Windows to your preferred HDD location and then try installing the game again.

    Go to Settings -> System -> Storage -> Change where new content is saved (under 'More Storage Settings'). Change the setting "New Apps will install to:" to the drive you want to use.

    Make sure you have some free space on your drive. If not, try cleaning up your disk to create more space."

    I suggest uninstalling the app completely! Everytime that it tried to give me a hard time I do this and it works wonders! Here are the steps!

    This didn't help. As you can see in the screenshot I have 450GB remaining, all I'm trying to install is Infinite.
