I can't install games from Xbox app on my pc. Error code: 0x80073cfc

I've had this problem for quite a while. When I want to install even a simplest game, I get this error, I don't really know what's happening. The download stays at 0% with this error and when I want to see what's wrong, It says: Couldn't launch the game,
try reinstallation. I really wanna play with some friends but sadly, I can't because of this. For context, I wanted to play Metro Exodus, Overcooked 2 and Minecraft Dungeons. Could someone please help me?

Uninstall the Xbox App from your PC and reinstall it. This should help.

install the Gaming Services app, Go to the Apps configuration section and do the Terminate, Repair and Restore of that app.

i can't install ori and the will of the wisp. Always get a error message, code 0x80073cfc.

I have a game pass pc account.

Anyone having the same probem ?

I had a search around and found people in the past reporting a similar problem,

here's a link to one fix that seemed to work for quite a few people.

I'll post the user's reply here as well so it's easier for people to see it.

"I found a solution to this issue. But first I'm gonna list the steps that led me to the error.

I am on the latest version of Windows 10, fully updated, and when opening the Xbox (Beta) app where you are supposed to download the Xbox Game Pass for Pc games I tried to download the following games:

- Gears 5 Tech Test.

- Slay The Spire

Both games showed an error when installing and the following error code: 0x80073cfc

Contacting Microsoft help, they promped me to Terminate, Repair and Restore the Xbox app, without any success.

Then a second time they asked me to sign out windows store and sign in again.

Finally a third attempt led me to install the Gaming Services app, which I already had installed, but I went to the Apps configuration section and did the Terminate, Repair and Restore of that app.

I was able to download both games I mentioned before without issues. Please try and maybe it will work for you too.

Error 0x80073CFC occurs when playing an Xbox Game Pass game on a Windows 10 device. Reinstall the app. The application cannot start. Reinstalling should fix it.
