I cant install back-compat xbox 360 games on my xbox one

so I've had his problem for the entire time I've owned my xbox one. I have an xbox live gold subscription and I get free games with this each month but I only have the option to enjoy 2 out of the 4 "available" games as I can't install the xbox 360 games.
Here in the "splinter cell conviction" area I have the option to "see price". I press this and after I enter my pass code it tells me that the game is free and I can continue. However when I press this the following message appears, "Sorry - Your account is
unable to make this type of purchase on Xbox.com. Please complete this transaction from your Xbox" This message makes no sense to me. If anyone else has had the same problem please help me in any way you can as this is very frustrating, especially when a triple
A title comes around. Thank you.

backward compatability

if i buy a 360 back compat game on my xbox one will it automatically install or do i have to download it to my 360?

Help needed

Hi, make sure you are logged into the same account which you use on the Xbox 360, then goto my games & apps then ready to install, any games that you got from the games with gold (Xbox One or Xbox 360 back compat) should be there waiting for you to install.

If you're on a child account, you would need to make the purchase from a 360 console. Otherwise, make sure you have a credit card/PayPal on file to make the purchase.

i'm getting the error 0x8082000c when i try to install an xbox 360 game on my xbox one it tells me to check xbox compatible games list i did and the game is on the list why cant i play it? what's the problem?

If the game you're trying to play is indeed back-compatible, installation is pretty simple. If you own the game digitally, it'll appear in "Ready to Install" in My Games & Apps as soon as it's made available via back-compat. If you own the game on disc,
insert the original game disc into your Xbox One. This verifies you own the game, and will then start the installation of the compatible version, which will be downloaded from Xbox Live (the game disc is merely proof of ownership; it won't be installed from
the disc). These are available at no additional charge, and you don't have to subscribe to Xbox Live Gold to take advantage of it.
