    Why can't I hear any sounds in my xbox but I can hear my party. I've tried using multiple different techniques and I've restarted my xbox in both ways, messed around with all the audio settings, and even tried using new battery's. I've only had this controller for a few months, same with the headset. Even with the audio only port in the controller I can only hear sound. Can anybody help me?

    :)

    I can't hear sounds but I can hear my party and they can hear me.

    Found out it was the headphone adapter that connected the sound and microphone together, thanks for the recommendation!

    Hi John Patrick Harris

    Greetings!

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community

    I do understand the urgency of you wanting to find other ways for this issue of yours in regards with your audio. We are very glad to help you out to find some of the best possible options and troubleshooting's that we can provide for you.

    Firstly, let's check if the issue is with the headset or the controller. Please try using a different headset or controller to see if the issue persists. If the issue is with the headset, please ensure that it is properly connected to the controller and that the volume is turned up.

    If the issue persists, please try the following steps:

    1. Check the audio settings on your Xbox.

    • Go to Settings > Display & Sound > Volume and make sure that the volume is turned up.
    2. Check the audio settings in the game you are playing.

    • Some games have their own audio settings that may need to be adjusted.
    3. Try resetting your Xbox audio settings to default.

    • Go to Settings > Display & Sound > Audio Output and select "Reset to Factory Defaults".
    4. Check if there are any updates available for your Xbox.

    • Go to Settings > System > Updates & Downloads and check for any available updates.
    5. If none of the above steps work, try performing a power cycle on your Xbox.

    • To do this, turn off your Xbox and unplug it from the power source for at least 30 seconds. Then, plug it back in and turn it on.

    In addition, you can as well utilize this support article for more information's and as well as guidance as well on finding other options. click here: Troubleshoot audio on your Xbox console

    I can hear my friends but they can't hear me.

    Hi SlinkDinkJay

    What model headset is it? I had the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 (gen1) and they decided to stop picking up my mic. Even tried using Bluetooth on my phone and record a memo but got the same result, so I knew it wasn't the console.

    Manufacture asked me to reset it using the Audio app on the PC, which I did. It worked for a while but stopped again.

    Luckily, I had a three-year warranty, so I returned them and got the Stealth 600 (gen 2).

    Hope that helps.

    I can hear my friends but they can't hear me.

    Try these steps:

    * Connect your headset to the Turtle Beach Audio Hub to update

    * Charge your headset

    * Update your controller.

    Please let me know if this helps!
