    I can't hear my game while in an Xbox party.


    Hello, this is a problem I've been dealing with for a while. Every time I join a party to play a game with my friends the game audio cuts out. I can only hear the party chat when this happens. It's really stressful and annoying when this happens because most games I play are depending on sound. Does anyone have a fix/solution for this?

    Hello -Khia-, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your audio.

    Which model headset are you using please? It may be that it uses a separate mixer for the chat and game volume. If it does not then you can either tap the Guide button on your controller and scroll down to the audio icon in the lower right corner to adjust your mixer volume there or go into your Volume Settings on the console then select Additional Option and then Chat Mixer. Here you'll want to set it to reduce the volume of other sounds by 50%.

    I'm having the exact same issue. I have the logitech G930s too. While using the xbox app for just party use you won't be able to hear others and they can't hear you. The headset works correctly with game sounds while streaming to xbox one back to PC but
    still won't work in the parties. The issue is that the headset will just not work at all with any type of xbox party function... While streaming xbox one to PC or while just using the party system in the xbox application for windows 10. (Microphone and earphones
    will not work in party chat as said... while the ability to create, leave, and join the party actually work.)

    I can't even hear people, haven't been able to for a while. Can't see any obvious MUTE buttons pressed?

    Can hear people in my party fine though.

    That's not really my issue. My friends can hear me while I have Game Bar up on screen. As soon as I exit and play my game, my friends can't hear me. I just figured out that if I pin the party chat widget on game bar so it stays there when I exit game bar, my friends will still be able to hear me. For now that's what I'll stick with, but I'd like to be able to remove the party chat widget from my screen.

    Post if your in-game chat DOES work (not party chat).

    Sometimes mine works and sometimes it doesn't. But today I was in a private party chat and I could hear game chat plain as day in my party chat while I was still hearing my party chat members. They could also hear me talking back to them in game chat somehow.
    There are some definite issues with this.
