    I can't hear anything in game, no sound effects, no nothing, other than other people's voice


    I'm going online one day, go play Fortnite, and while I'm chatting to people, I hop on a game with visual sound effects, and I realize, I can't hear anything. I checked the volume on my TV, it's on a good amount. I check my headphones, all the way up. I check Fortnite, again, all the way up. I was confused. I checked out Madden 22, guess what. Nothing. So I'm texting this to see what I can do. Thanks in advance, (if u help me)

    Kinnect2 and Center Speakers

    I don't have a link.... but they have a demo where they filter sound from a 5.1 surround sound system and you can hear almost nothing from the voice command before filtering and once filtered you can't hear anything but the voice command so I think they
    greatly improved upon that..... but to be honnest people having issues with their center speaker should clibrate their amplifier.... the central piece should be one of the less used speaker in the set up.... it is there just for giving voice more depth and
    traveling sound effects.... never got issues with the central speaker.... it's the other ones that are the issue for me with kinect 1.... but from what I have seen from kinect 2 I am quiet confident.....

    What he is talking about is hearing voices on his Xbox1 without playing a game or doing anything. I have akso heard voices of other people playing games and talking to their xbox1. Sounds like MS screwed up some networking on the servers and sometimes we
    are gettin cross chat.

    When you say "nothing is heard", do you mean other players don't hear your voice through the microphone, or do you not hear anything yourself?

    Do you want to hear party chat through your headset, or do you want to hear game sound as well as party chat?

    That's weird mate... if anything the new voice chat (for both me and my friends) picks up more of what's going on with other people... I could even hear my mates wife eating crisps on the other side of the room!

    I take it the people you're talking to are using the official headsets and not Kinect for their voice chat?

    Sounds like the headset speaker could be faulty....
