I can’t get Xbox original games to play on my 360

I have 3 original xbox games that won’t play on my xbox 360. They are all on the list of games that are backwards compatible. I get an error saying the game couldn’t start, try downloading again. I went through the checklist on the support page but it
didn’t help. I cleaned the discs (all are in excellent shape). I checked the hard drive. It says microsoft next to it, so i am assuming it’s and official xbox hard drive. It is 229 GB and has 88.9 GB open. I checked for the latest software update as well.
Not sure what to do next. I don’t have other hard drives to check them. Whats the next step to get them to work? Thanks.

If you are talking about the xbox one bc list thats not the list for the xbox 360

There hasnt been any bc update for the 360 in years

They stopped it in back in 2013

Any update now for the 360 has nothing to do with bc

Its more for live connectivity and 360 features

Hi, the hard drive may not be an official Microsoft branded hard drive even though it shows Microsoft in the storage section on the Xbox. You'd need take the hard drive out and check it has the Microsoft branding and holographic labels etc on it.

Odds are the drive isn't genuine and as such you won't be able to use backwards compatible games.

Now i see i can’t download neither any xbox 360 game or the original xbox game from the Microsoft Store.

Please help.

I can’t make purchases on xbox360 console, I can make purchase on my computer for xbox 360 games, but I can’t play them cause I can’t sign in to xbox profiles or gametags

It’s not a child account, it’s my personal account.

In the past, I was available to download xbox 360 games, but since some weeks ago, i can’t do it.

Xbox original games neither.

I don’t know what to do...
