I cant get into my games to play a game. all I get is sign in error and error code 1170000

I get an error code 1170000 and it says there was an error in signing into xbox. I don't even have an xbox

I am unable to sign into my games, solitaire and bingo. Solitaire is giving me error code 1170000.

I am getting an error 1170000 in Microsoft Solitaire Collection, I have followed instructions found on the Facebook error code page and nothing works, I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, still not working, I am signed into Xbox and Microsoft page with
any problem, but cant sign into game. please help

 

So has anyone got any ideas or answers as how to deal with

Same problem. I suspect it is due to recently changing my primary alias to a new email address. However it is stll frustrating having to play as a "guest". Also on one computer I have had to go back to Windows 8.1 rather than Windows 10 because there
was so much "lag" in response time that most of my grandson's games were unplayable.

 

I need to add to my previous post that my problem is unique to the Windows 10 version of the Microsoft Collection. Other Windows 10 games such as Microsoft Jigsaw, Minesweeper, and MahJong work just fine. Also on the computer that I returned to Windows
8.1, I am able to access the Microsoft Solitaire Collection and play with no problems.

 

Further comment: I was able to access the Microsoft Solitaire Collection on my computer running Windows 8.1. After that I was able to also access the Collection via the computer running Windows 10 since they are wirelessly interconnected. So now I can
access & play. However my solitaire "game history" for all of September (as well as most August "badges") have not carried over, Badges for July and before ARE available!

Advice from Microsoft - wait 48 hours and try again. ("It can take up to 48 hours for the change to your email address to be implemented on all Microsoft services").

That makes a lot of sense. *fingers crossed*

 

I got my solitaire collection working again, here's what I did:

When the green logging into Xbox window comes up hit Alt+F4

You should get a window with play as guest option, click it.

You're in solitaire now, click the green Xbox ball in the top right of the window.

A sign in prompt will appear, click it.

Now your signed into Xbox Live.

Close and re-open solitaire, it should work ok.

Your solution didn't work for me. I'll try again after I reboot.

 

It happened again,definitely caused by me changing info in my win10 account. Last time was email change, this time phone # change. I tried my previous suggestion, didn't work!

This time I clicked the window icon in the lower left of win10. On my machine under "Play and Explore" I clicked the green xbox Icon and got to the login window. Once I was logged in there Solitaire would login and work.

This is definitely caused by a coding error in solitaire's login process, it doesn't see the usual login response it's looking for and craps out with this error. Then if you go to facebook for help they make you jump through hoops making changes to your
system, trying to fix a problem that they created!
