I am so sorry you are having issues getting into your Microsoft account to play Minecraft.

Please keep in mind, this is a community forum. We are not Microsoft agents and they will likely not contact you from here. There is also no phone number for support, there hasn’t been for a long time.

The first idea is to try and directly log into your account with your phone number.

You can also find your email address using this recovery tool: [https://account.live.com/username/recover] by inputting related data.

If this does not work, you can try to look for email receipts on alternative accounts or find accounts you made be logged into on different services.

If you have tried logging in and it says your password is incorrect you should reset your password and try again.

I read there were problems on their end with not being sent a reset email, and I hope that's the case rather than it being that I'm not verified. Means I'd be able to get a reset email sent.

I have the same problem. I can't get on XBL because I can't accept the terms because of the parent count created +4 years ago. I'm 20 now and don't need to be a child account. I have no way of accessing the parent email and the "forgot password" option won't
work for me. I've tried promoting my child account online but the account link seams to have an error. Until I can promote my account I can't use xbox live and I just bought a new 3 month subscription and have already lost over a day.

since you only know the gamertag please follow the steps mentioned on this link:

It may result in you needing to contact Xbox Support, but that step is also mentioned as step on the link. When you need to contact Xbox Support, be sure to have as much information regarding the xbox live account at hand, like payment option details or
purchases made etc. since they can help in getting access again to the child account.

Basically, when we first set up my account we used an email address that my dad created purely for the xbox account, but now we can't access the account because it has recently decided to ask to to sign in with the email or else I can't get online but my
dad doesnt remember the password, and he can't remember enough details to successfully fill out the recovery questionnaire. I've tried several different methods but none have worked.
