    I can't get 5.1 sound from my Samsung home theater!


    Hi all! First of all sorry for my not so perfect English and I wish all those who celebrate a happy Easter! I really need help about my problem. I have Samsung home theater (http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/...atre-systems/home-theatre-systems/HT-F6500/XU).
    I have PS4 also connected to HT and I'm getting 5.1 surround. With Xbox One I'm getting only stereo sound through 2 channels. I tried everything really but only stereo sound is what I'm getting!

    I have Xbox One connected via HDMI to home theater receiver (Xbox One HDMI Out connected to home theater HDMI In). Home theater is connected to my TV (I have Samsung UE46ES6100). In Xbox One settings I chose 5.1 uncompressed sound via HDMI. As i said PS4
    is connected in the same way and it's working. My TV has HDMI-CEC and all those features. HDMI arc is enabled. I didn't try via optical cable because HDMI is providing better sound quality.

    Any have some suggestions? I found here that many of us have similar problem. Thread is closed tho (http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/xbox_one_support/f/4269/t/1690574.aspx).

    Please, help me. I can't get 5.1 sound from my Samsung home theater! :)

    rear speakers not working with Forza 5

    Greetings,

    I have an Onkyo home theater (HT-S5600) which is 7.1, the sound with fifa 14 is brilliant and I get the full surround experience with 5 speakers working just fine and commentator sound from central speakers. It works fine whether settings is DTS, 5.1 uncompressed
    or 7.1 uncompressed.

    My problem is with Forza 5, I can only get sound from the two front speaker and the center one, no sound from rear (or front high) what so ever. Its frustrating I didn't have this issue with Forza 4.

    I tried changing settings in XBOX in sound settings but nothing worked, appreciate the help. I hooked xbox to home theater through HDMI and I have HDMI from home theater HDMI output to the TV.

    Simulated Atmos from XBOX One S?

    When set to bit stream out and Atmos for home theater, is there any Atmos simulation to a 5.1 signal in? I.E. when watching a movie streamed from VUDU in 5.1 surround sound through the XBOX One S set to bitstream out and Atmos for home theater, my Marantz
    SR6011 (Atmos capable) shows Atmos in and out. Is it actually a simulated Atmos signal or just 5.1 passed through? I have a 7.2.4 system set up for Atmos with the Marantz.

    When is 5.1 surround coming to optical for headsets 2018?

    True They added it for home theaters but alot gamers wear there gaming headset and want 5.1 surround sound. we don't want simulated 5.1 or 7.1 in order to be next gen it's not all about graphics audio quality is equally important . 5.1 dates back to 1976

    I have a pair of PX5's and they leave my $800 home theater system for dead. The only time my home theater gegts used anmore is when there's other people watching too.

    This is a known bug and Microsoft has acknowledged it as well. The solution to a fix, for now, is to set the Xbox One to stereo sound when connecting it to a home theater system. Your receiver will do the work and split it into the right channels. If you
    use the 5.1 or 7.1 you will not get sound from the center channel or surround speakers. I was trying to get help from Onkyo yo before stumbling across this thread. Any other settings I tried and it wound not output the correct surround sound I wanted.
