I can't enable the Fortnite Epic friends list because my age is set wrong.

Does anyone know how to change my Microsoft account age because it is set wrong?

Because of this, I cant enable the Fortnite Epic games list on Xbox, so I cant play with people on other platforms.

Suddenly blocked on Fortnite (xbox)

After months of playing Fortnite my son was suddenly blocked from playing Fortnite with the message that it is due to not be allowed to see other peoples content because of the account set up, age related I guess, I have changed the account settings to all
permissions, he is of legal (according to Epic's own rules) age to play but he is still blocked.

Can any one help please?

 

You can change the age of your Microsoft account at http://account.live.com but keep in mind that will only change the age of your Microsoft account and not your Xbox account.

Unfortunately once you enter a birth date and the account is created you cannot change it. You would need to create a new

account. Follow the link below to create a new Microsoft account .

If I unlink my old Xbox account from Fortnite and link my new account, will all my skins still be there?

 

Hi Bobcat,

When looking into whether the skins would still be connected to the new account I did find out the answer. The skins are connected to the Epic Account, so it would be okay to switch the Xbox profile and the skins would still be there.

If you are in need of technical support, please reach out to their team at Fortnite Support and they will make sure to get you back into the action.

I have the same question. We are running into issues with crossplay and are trying a work around... We do not want to lose the skins and other content by linking a new account. Does anyone know if content is lost once you unlink an account and add a new one?

Yes in theory, if you can unlink the epic account from your Xbox profile you then can link to another. As for the cross play we are aware of the issue. It was put in intentionally due to Microsoft wanting the parent account to be allowed to manage the option
for cross play or not. Unfortunately, it taking longer than expected to add it to the settings for parents to manage. We will post an update as soon as one becomes available.
